To achieve the best possible outcome, it is important that you attend all scheduled appointments as part of your treatment plan.
We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible.
A patient who does not attend a scheduled appointment without notifying the practice will be recorded as a "no-show".
Where a patient has two no-shows within a four-week period, Hastings Physio and Health may require pre-payment for future appointments for a period of six months.
If a patient who is subject to the pre-payment requirement does not attend a pre-paid appointment, or cancels with less than 6 hours' notice, the pre-paid appointment fee may be forfeited.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure appointment availability for all patients and reduce unused appointment times.
For Workers Compensation patients, we are required to notify the insurer or claims provider of missed appointments.
If exceptional circumstances apply, the Practice Manager may review the application of this policy on a case-by-case basis.
